Begonia gehrtii is a rhizomatous type with very distinctive foliage. It has a bumpy surface with a cobweb pattern of veins. I find it much easier to grow than b. paulensis or moyesii. It grows well in the greenhouse but might do better in an enclosed situation, like a bowl, in the house. New Item 2014.
